My 14-year-old daughter just completed her first week at Camp Broadway. When we went to see the campers perform their show on the final day, I was absolutely blown away at the production that was put together in only a week. The choreography, the songs, and the acting were truly impressive. We live in Manhattan, but there were campers attending from 24 other states and four other countries! The kids put in a full day of practice, they’re clearly enjoying themselves, and it’s a really special opportunity to perform high level production, on a real stage, and you even get a playbill with your camper’s name as a cast member! I highly recommend Camp Broadway. My daughter struggled a bit in the beginning due to her asthma, and never having taken dance classes before, And the counselors could not have been more kind and supportive. My daughter joined the 2024 Camp Broadway Ensemble and had an incredible experience. The level of instruction is phenominal and it was such a positive experience for her. She made many friends from all over the country and the world with her same interests. My 13 year-old daughter just completed her second program with Camp Broadway. At the age of 7 in 2017 she was part of the Shining Stars program for summer camp. We live out of state so it took some effort to be able to spend a week for her to participate. We were blown away by the program. It was the best mix of professional training for performing, but at the same time my daughter had so much fun. She loved going to rehearsals and the final performance was absolutely terrific. She loved it so much that we couldn’t wait to come back. She made friends with a little girl who came to the program all the way from China and they were pen pals for several years and even got together for karaoke when our family was there on a trip. The pandemic and our busy summers kept us away for several years. Just this past week she was able to once again join Camp Broadway – this time as part of the Ensemble to sing at Carnegie Hall! We were absolutely thrilled to come back and see so many familiar faces. It is a testament to the culture of the program that the team has been there for so long, and makes an effort to welcome back kids to the Camp Broadway family. Leading up to our trip the communication was excellent. We received regular updates, reminders, there was a parent zoom. We felt very prepared for what to expect and the communication was excellent. My daughter had several long days of practice to prepare for the performance. She had so much fun, it never felt like work to her. She loved the lessons and learning and made friends with other kids from all over the country and the world. Then my daughter got to go to Carnegie Hall and perform with legends. The costumes were absolutely incredible. Seeing her name in the playbill in that iconic theater was magic. She was absolutely beaming from the stage, and it was so special to be a part of something so incredible. Every moment of the program was just exceptional. From the pictures shared on social media, to the sign in and sign out each day – this program is world class. I can’t recommend Camp Broadway enough, they make all kids feel welcome and important, provide incredible opportunities and foster a love of theater and the arts for your kids.
